Our luxurious Burford layout features an end bathroom with separate shower, a fully enclosed rear bedroom with a comfortable double bed and huge wardrobe with drawers below and a large and comfortable front lounge and living space featuring a fully equipped kitchen and twin, opposing sofas.
The Burford has an impressive standard specification which includes cab air conditioning, Habitation air conditioning, cruise control and electric windows, as well as alloy wheels and a whole host of other features.
Mercedes use their powerful 2.2, 163 bhp turbo diesel and fully automatic transmission with paddle change option, mated to rear wheel drive for optimum control and comfort.
Living and Driving in an Auto-Sleeper Burford
Our Used Auto-Sleeper Mercedes Burford Automatic 2019/19, as with all Auto-Sleepers, is a very impressive motorhome. For our budding chefs, the kitchen features a full-size cooker with dual fuel hob and separate oven and grill while an electric hood deals with cooking smells. There is a microwave oven and a large three-way fridge with a separate freezer above too.
For our drivers, the Burford cab specification includes automatic transmission, cruise control, optional paddle-change gear selection, electric door mirrors, a very useful colour reversing camera and an adjustable steering column. Removable carpets, including the cab, are standard throughout and there’s also central locking and a cab alarm and engine immobiliser. Both cab seats swivel for relaxing when the driving stops.
The Burford has ample storage, found in several overhead lockers, under sofas, in cupboards and under the bed too. So, you’re never going to be short of storage space. The Lounge is a very comfortable space for relaxing and as mentioned, the cab seats swivel. There’s also a large sky-view over-cab window, large side windows and large central rooflight too.
The end shower room comprises of a cassette toilet, a stylish feature sink and a separate shower. So, as this is fully enclosed, the rest of the room remains dry when used. Warm air from the “Truma” 6kw heating system is ducted into the shower room as well as the bedroom and living space too.
Finally, to the bedroom – a good-sized room featuring a good sized double bed with memory-foam mattress and fully closed off from the lounge. There is a huge wardrobe to one side with lots of drawer space below and several overhead storage lockers too. Finally, there is a large window to the near-side with a blind and fly-screen and an opening rooflight too, again with blind and fly-screen.
The Devil is Always in The Detail
Well, fortunately there are no Devils with a Burford, but it does have a full-length awning, a free-standing table for use inside or out and rear, wind-down rear steadies for stability when parked. Also, found outside, is an external gas bbq point, an external 230v plug socket (very handy) and a chassis mounted, 25litre refillable LPG gas tank so, no gas bottles to mess around with!
On the roof is a solar panel and digital TV aerial, while, for passengers there’s an electric step to ease getting in and out of the motorhome, fitted rails for mounting a cycle rack when required and a Mercedes alarm system for the cab.
The lounge and living space is very light featuring a front skyview roof light with a second central rooflight too; there are also twin sofas, complimenting the Santini furniture and trimmed with luxury Casa Mila Mocha Belgian fabrics, are very comfortable and these will also convert into a double bed too when required, so, room for guests too? The lounge has large opening windows, each with blinds and flyscreens and there are also decorative curtains for the finishing touch.
